Employee Spotlight
The Christian Heights Employee spotlight shines on Kimberly Kaufman for the month of April. Kimberly has been a nurse for three years, however, she has worked for Christian Heights for approximately one year. She loves her job because even though many of her responsibilities are on the floor, she is still constantly interacting with the residents and helping the other nurses with their duties. When asked what is the favorite part of her job Kim said “taking care of my residents and seeing the rehab to home residents improve and make it back home”. Kim’s inspiration for becoming a nurse is her grandmother. Her grandma had a major stroke, and she and her mom took care of her. Her compassion and care are also displayed in the care of her residents. Being a nurse can be quite stressful and challenging at times. Kim said that one of the biggest challenges has been Covid19. She said that “it is difficult seeing how the restrictions have affected our residents not seeing their families, and losing residents that she has grown close to”. Kim loves working in the healthcare industry, it brings her great satisfaction in helping others. It’s a very rewarding career. But at the end of the day, Kim’s motto and favorite saying is “Another day another dollar”, we appreciate Kim and all she does for Christian Heights! Thank you for being a part of the Christian Heights team!
