Christian Heights would like to introduce a resident who successfully completed her therapy goals; Kim W. Kim came to Christian Heights after a brief stay at Jenny Stuart Medical Center. When Kim first arrived at CH she had limited mobility and was confined to a wheelchair. She was experiencing neurotic nerve damage as well as arthritis. Kim worked diligently with our therapists to achieve her discharge goals. Upon arrival Kim could only take two steps ambulating from wheelchair to bed. She can now take more than 15 steps. Physical and Occupational Therapies met with Kim five times a week for several weeks to get her up and moving. She progressed quickly and was eager to meet her functioning goals as planned. Kim said, “If you want to build strength as well as your mind Christian Heights is the place to be. The staff really cares about you. They always help you and see about your needs. They also allow you to smoke which was a deal breaker for me.” It was a delight to work with Kim, and we wish her all the best in her future endeavors.
