Residents come to nursing homes and typically their whole life changes. They have to get use to less space, less privacy, and even constant interruptions. They also look forward to family support and developing friendships. Since coming to Christian Heights Margaret G has had strong family support, and developed a very good friendship with Ophelia A. They are now roommates and enjoy talking about the goodness of the Lord. They have also embraced the visitation of their families and look forward to the visits. There are other wonderful friendships that have been fostered at Christian Heights, as well as great family support. We are excited about the on-going support of the families and the relationships that have been developed amongst the residents. The best thing that you can do for your loved ones is spend as much time as possible with them. Family and friend visits increase stimulation and decrease loneliness. Having consistent contact and visits can go a long way.
