Letter from the Administrator

Christian Heights Nursing and Rehab Interim Administrator Cathy Allen

Dear Employees, Residents and Families:

I would like to introduce to you Cathy Allen. Cathy is currently the interim Administrator at Christian Heights Nursing & Rehab. Cathy has been acting as an Administrator for an amazing forty two years, and she has licenses in ten different states. Which is very beneficial for facilities needing an administrator to step in on emergencies.

Cathy started her career selling real estate, however when that fell through she ventured into healthcare. At that time it wasn’t a difficult task working at a nursing facility, and she joined a facility as an Admissions and Marketing representative. She later felt like she could work as an administrator, and after two years she started her career as an administrator.

Cathy said the most important thing is to know who you are as a person. Decide what kind of person you’re going to be, what you will do, and what you are going to do. In this field you should be kind, caring, and have a passion for this type of work. You should apply Christian principles. Cathy feels that to be a successful administrator you have to have a compassion for people, and also have a handle on business. You have to be able to overlap the two. Very few can do this, but the ones who can do it are usually very successful.

Cathy likes influencing people. Her goal is to make peoples lives better, and make an impression. Her favorite scripture is Romans 8:1 There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. “I am so glad that he does not pull back on mercy”. Mercy is not getting what you deserve, and grace is getting what you don’t deserve. Thank God he’s generous with grace.

Sincerely,

Cathy Allen, Administrator
