Our Resident Spotlight this month is Mary F. She came to us from Tennova Healthcare after a brief stay. What’s amazing is Mary asked to come to Christian Heights! She was a prior resident at CH in 2017 and enjoyed her stay because the staff took good care of her. She is also very familiar with CH because long before she was a resident she was employed by Christian Heights when it was called Pembroke Nursing and Rehab. Yes, that’s correct. She was employed by CH, and now she is a resident.
Mary has such a kind spirit. She is pleasant and easy to talk to; she loves to socialize with the residents and staff. Mary has lots of friends. She said “when a stranger cares they become your friend.” Mary is also very talented, in her down time makes bracelets, necklaces, does crafting, makes candles and candleholders, does flower arrangements, and cooks. She said that she was very comfortable at Christian Heights. Her only negative was that she gets attached to certain residents and then she leaves. Mary is doing great as a resident, and even better as a therapy participant. We would like to wish her continued success as she transitions back home.
