Staff Spotlight: Activities Department

This month Christian Heights would like to spotlight our Activities Department. This active and creative department is headed by Activity Director Brittney Frasier and Activity assistant Sarah Austin. This department keeps the residents at Christian Heights very busy. On any given day you can find this department gathering the residents together to participate in a fun game of bingo, board games, or good ole fashioned paintings. The residents really enjoy participating, and they love the activities team! November was very busy with exercises, great music together, religious services, and a tasty Thanksgiving dinner with family and friends. December is set to be just as busy with gift exchanges, lots of food, church volunteers, singing, and a festive Christmas dinner.

Christian Heights understands an individualized, well thought out activities program is at the heart of a quality life for residents. That’s why activities are not just about bingo and watching television. There are activities that can be quite creative and stimulating for the mind. This team identifies activities that will stimulate and challenge the resident’s highest practicable level of physical, mental, and psychosocial well-being.
