Success: Robert Q.

Robert Q.came to Christian Heights Nursing Home on December 5, 2017 from Jennie Stuart Medical Hospital in Hopkinsville, KY. When Robert arrived at Christian Heights he had limited movement in his legs, and experienced major challenges moving his upper torso. Robert was pretty much bed ridden and needed to build his physical strength as well as his endurance. With his determination and the skill of our Nursing and Rehab staff, Robert will be transitioning home on March 1, 2018. Only three months after his admission to our facility.

Robert was very pleased with Christian Heights and the Therapy staff. He said that Christian Heights was very good to him. ā€œWhen I got here I was very upset because I couldnā€™t do anything. I couldnā€™t even move, but in two months the great therapy staff took me a long way in two monthsā€. The therapy staff was very pleased with his efforts. Carla said that ā€œhe never said no. He worked hard, and did whatever we asked. When he couldnā€™t get there himself weā€™d come and get him and heā€™d be very cooperativeā€.

Robert is returning home now. He worked hard and was determined to do what was necessary to get better. Heā€™s looking forward to life after Christian Heights, however he said that ā€œwords canā€™t express my thanks for the admissions and therapy team for helping me get through my situation. Iā€™ll never forget this place. Iā€™ve met a lot of friends and Iā€™ll try my best to stay in touch with themā€ .

Robertā€™s advice to short-term residents is ā€œwork hard, and do what you need to do even when you donā€™t feel like it, and youā€™ll make quick progressā€ Robert is excited to be going home and we wish him much success on his return back into the community.
