Mr. K. was admitted in December of 2020. He was admitted after spending a long stint in the hospital due to several medical complications. During this time he had a trach and g tube placed and came to Christian Heights completely dependent for care. Prior to his hospitalization he was completely independent with all functional tasks and was living independently. Director of Rehab Jennifer Davenport said, “He is such a positive gentleman and is a pleasure to work with in therapy. He never refuses treatment and always pushes himself.” At this time he is able to perform bed mobility tasks with minimal assistance and performed his first sit-stand this week. He is now on a mechanical soft diet and is working on meals with small bites. He is also in the process of being weaned off oxygen. We see good things for his future and are blessed that he chose us to assist him in his road to recovery.
