Nurses Inspire, Innovate, and Influence. Sunday, May 6th, marked the start of National Nurses Week. It was a time to pause to thank all Christian Heights Healthcare colleagues who care for patients and serve our communities each and every day. We want to thank our nurses for the critical role they play in caring for our patients.

National Nurses Week is celebrated annually from May 6, also known as National Nurses Day, through May 12, the birthday of Florence Nightingale, the founder of modern nursing. This week was devoted to highlighting the diverse ways in which registered nurses work to improve health care.

The public has rated nursing as the most honest and ethical profession for the past 16 years. Their commitment to protecting, promoting, and improving health care for all is well recognized, and they serve the public in a wide range of roles and work settings. Therefore, it is only fitting that we take one week each year to celebrate their profession and the vital roles nurses play in health care.
