Featured Resident

Our featured resident this month is Mr. Larry J. Larry came to Christian Heights Nursing and Rehabilitation from Pennyrile Personal Care Home. Larry has been at Christian Heights for more than ten years and has been a mainstay at the facility. Larry was blessed to have three wonderful children which include two sons and one daughter. Larry has seen many residents come and go and has hopes of leaving the facility in the near future.

Being in a nursing facility sometimes hide the skills of the residents. Larry is a man of many talents. He is an exceptional musician. Larry was once regarded as “the baddest bass player in the city of Clarksville”, he also plays the lead guitar, drums, and saxophone. He once played backstage for the popular R&B group “Brothers Johnson”, and they were impressed with his bass playing skills.

Larry is also a good cook. He worked at Cracker Barrel restaurant for five years as a cook. He said that he could cook pretty much anything. He said his favorite food to prepare is barbecue but he could fix pretty much anything. He mentioned that he made a mean peach cobbler, banana pudding, and fried corn, and if he ever got a chance to prepare it for the residents ‘he would burn it up”

Larry is a great resident and has a great attitude, and we appreciate him allowing Christian Heights to care for him. We wish him well in his future endeavors!
