Staff Spotlight

The Christian Heights Special Spotlight for the month of August is Peggy Lane. Peggy is a CNA and a Certified Med Tech, and is very passionate about what she does.

A certified nursing assistant’s primary responsibility is to assist patients with their daily activities, but some cna’s may have additional responsibilities such as administering medication, bathing and dressing patients.

Peggy has been a cna for 40 years, however she has worked at Christian Heights for approximately six years. Peggy said that the most favorite part of her job is “taking care of the residents and making sure they get the care they need”. She also likes talking to them and hearing what they have to say, especially about their health needs. Her fondest memory is about a resident that enjoyed her smile. This particular resident told her that her smile made her feel good and appreciated. It’s moments like this that let’s her know that she is making an impact on someones life, and the facility.

Peggy said that she rarely has a bad day because she relies on the scripture Phillipians 4:13 “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. We appreciate Peggy, and just want to say thank you for your kindred spirit and compassion for helping others.
