Motion Picture and a Pizza Party

The Christian Heights Activities Department and staff got together and transported some of the residents to the movie theatre in Hopkinsville Kentucky to enjoy a nice afternoon movie. The residents had the entire cinema to themselves, and thoroughly enjoyed the outing. Watching movies can reduce isolation, foster friendships, stimulate empathy, and provide a mental ‘time out’. It is also a wonderful reminiscing opportunity! The Activities Department would like to take the residents on an outing or a field trip on a quarterly basis. Once the residents returned they gathered in the dining area for pizza, popcorn, and ice cream. It was a great activity for the Christian Heights residents and they are already looking forward to the next one.
