Social Services Month
Every day, the nation’s 650,000 social workers act as advocates, champions and leaders who make our society a better place to live. This same statement holds true for nursing and rehabilitation facilities. Social Services Directors in the facility serve as advocates for the residents. This year for Social Workers month Christian Heights decided to recognize their very own Social Services Director Anna Houchens.
National Professional Social Work Month is an opportunity for social workers across the country and their allies to turn the spotlight on the profession and highlight the important contributions they make to society, and to residents. When asked what does it mean to her, Social Services Director Anna Houchens said that “It’s fabulous and she loves it. It’s being the residents advocates when they have no one else”. Anna takes great pride in her job, and says that it really means a lot. She said “That it’s the epitome of actually caring for people. Christian Heights and the residents would like to extend a heart-felt “Thank You” to Anna and all that she does to support the residents and Christian Heights.
